The studio

We turn ideas and businesses into modern, fast web experiences built to convert.

In Ewe, ɖɔ means the net, the woven web, what we now call the web. And xɔ means the house. dōxōlab builds one inside the other: a house on the web for every company, every shop, every independent professional. A place of their own, where their customers find them, recognise them and come back. We pick the project up at the very start and carry it through to production, then beyond.

Process

Seven stages, no grey areas

At any point you know where the project stands and what comes next.

  1. Discovery

Understanding the business, the goals and the audience. What the site has to achieve, before what it looks like.

  2. Strategy

Defining structure, content and user experience. Sitemap, journeys, conversion points.

  3. Design

Visual identity and interfaces. Art direction, desktop and mobile layouts, a working design system.

  4. Development

Building on a modern, scalable architecture. Content separated from code, reusable components.

  5. Testing

Responsive, performance, SEO, accessibility and functional testing, on real devices rather than simulators alone.

  6. Launch

Deployment and go-live: domain, hosting, redirects, indexing, analytics.

  7. Evolution

Maintenance and continuous improvement. The site follows the business instead of ageing alongside it.

Why us

What separates us from an off-the-shelf site

  • Made to measure

No bought theme, no recycled layout. The structure follows your business and your goals.

  • Design & development

The same people draw it and build it. Nothing gets lost between the mockup and the code.

  • Performance

Speed isn't a bonus. It's search ranking, comfort and revenue.

  • Mobile first

Mobile layouts are designed on their own terms, not shrunk down from desktop.

  • SEO

Semantic markup, structured data, clean URLs and heading hierarchy from the first line of code.

  • Ongoing support

Launch isn't the end of the project. We stay available to keep it moving.

FAQ

What we get asked most

  • How much does a website cost?

It depends on scope: number of pages, features, content to produce, whether you're selling online. We quote after an initial conversation about your goals, rather than applying a fixed price that would fit no one.

  • How long does it take to build a site?

Timing depends on the complexity of the project and how quickly content is available. We give you a stage-by-stage schedule once the brief is settled, and we hold to it.

  • Do you work with clients remotely?

Yes. The whole process works well remotely: briefing, design sign-off, testing, launch. We work over video calls and written exchanges.

  • Is the site optimised for mobile?

Always. We design mobile first: some layouts are drawn specifically for small screens, and we test on real devices before launch.

  • Is SEO included?

Technical SEO is part of every project: semantic structure, heading hierarchy, metadata, structured data, sitemap, performance. Content strategy and long-term rank tracking are a dedicated engagement.

  • Can I edit my site after launch?

Yes. We separate content from code from the outset, so text and images can change without touching components. If you want to manage content yourself, we can add a suitable content management system.

  • Do you handle maintenance?

Yes. We offer support after launch: technical updates, fixes, and new pages or features as your business evolves.

  • Can you rebuild an existing site?

Yes, and it's a common request. We audit what's there, keep what works (search equity above all) and put the redirects in place so you don't lose traffic in the switch.
